About the KJG Dog Grooming Academy
The KJG Dog Grooming Academy was established in 2017 by Kelly Gayler. It is a successful working salon and training facility in the heart of Chudleigh in Devon. It grew out of a love of dogs and a passion for teaching. With over 22 years industry experience, we pride ourselves on our expertise, professionalism and commitment to education. Our mission is to empower and inspire individuals with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to work successfully within the industry. Whether you are just starting your exciting new journey or looking to advance your career, we offer courses designed to cater for all levels and backgrounds.

Here at the KJG Dog Grooming Academy we are luckily to have a wide variety of OFQUAL regulated courses and qualifications available. For a beginner with little to no experience wanting to become a dog groomer, we would recommend one of Skills and Education Awards Level 3 courses. For an introduction to the industry students can choose a 5 or 15 day course. Those wishing to work on their own or start their own business we would recommend the Diploma course. This 35 day course will take you through everything you need to know to become a confident and qualified dog groomer. From the basics of prep work and simple trims, all the way to running your own successful business and grooming to breed standard.
Our 35 day courses come with an equipment pack worth £320.

Our payment plans
Its important to choose the right school for you and to invest in your future career. Although we appreciate that learning a new skill can be costly. We have put in place a payment plan to help you get started. In order to secure your course dates we will require a non refundable 20% deposit.
The remainder of your course balance can be split into 5 smaller payments that can be spread throughout your course. For example if completing the Level 3 Diploma 35 day course, Instalments will be due on the 1st, 6th, 12th, 18th and 24th day of your course. So if you are attending the academy one day a week, each payment will be due every 6 weeks. The payment plan does include a £250 fee to cover the extra admin involved.
